We are still experiencing technical difficulties with the ISP, but the new calendar is now online http://www.saintdemetrios.org.uk Wednesday, March 31, 2004
The Easter Service times will be late getting on the web. However: On Saturday 3rd April we celebrate the Raising of Lazarus, friend of Christ and first Bishop of Kition (If you didn't know that's in Cyprus!) The Liturgy will be in Greek from 9:00-11am. There is also a Children's Liturgy for students of the Greek School in the afternoon - between 2:00 and 3:00. This is also in Greek, but in a way intended to teach about the liturgy. On Sunday 4th April it is Palm Sunday. English Liturgy 7:00am - 9:00am followed by tea and breakfast Greek Liturgy 9:00am-12:30 In the Evening there is the Service of the Bridegroom (tou Nymfiou) from 7-8:30 pm (in Greek) Extra Resources Translations of the Easter Week services can be found here: http://www.anastasis.org.uk/holyweek.htm We've also sent out a couple of articles from the Archdiocese of America to help you understand Holy Week.
